Have you gone through something painful and wondered why you aren’t feeling “back to normal” yet? Or maybe you’ve started to wonder why you can’t stop certain patterns in your life, despite all your best efforts? Having questions about mental health is normal, and therapy can be helpful in helping you find answers.

Hi, my name is Eamonn Carolan. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with five years of therapy experience; I taught special education for three years and worked as a mental health crisis de-escalation hotline volunteer for five years before entering the counseling field. I work with clients experiencing mental health challenges including depression, anxiety, trauma-related difficulties, attention deficit, and obsessive/compulsive thoughts or behaviors as well as stressors including family, work, gender, sexual identity, geriatric, and phase of life related difficulties.
I work to establish an atmosphere of safety from the first session – developing strategies that clients can use to cope with challenging emotions both in and out of the therapy session – in which clients can explore longer term difficulties or memories that can feel too scary to approach at first. My work is informed by perspectives including from psychodynamic, gestalt, and cognitive behavioral therapies, and I see patients exclusively online.
